International Mikkeli Day, or IMD, will bring colour and cultural visibility to the Stella shopping centre on Tuesday, 4 November 2025, from 12:00 to 16:00. The event’s keynote speaker will be Fadumo Ali, founder and CEO of Hoiwa.
This free event, open to everyone, will also announce the International Mikkeli Resident of 2025. The programme includes vibrant dance and music performances as well as talks on internationality. The stage will feature traditional costumes and cultural attire from different countries, along with a children’s group.
The event seeks to highlight internationality from many different perspectives. IMD will be opened by Mayor Janne Kinnunen.
