The service organisation of the City of Mikkeli consists of three service areas:
- Culture, Education and Wellbeing Service Sector
- Housing and Operational Environment Service Sector
- Service area of the municipal corporation and vitality services
The decision-making organisation consists of decision-making bodies with elected officials. A council of 51 members is the highest authority.
