The museums of Mikkeli and the city’s public cultural services will host the largely free Night of the Museums event on Friday, October 25, from 5 PM to 11 PM.
The event has been organized annually since 2016. Thousands of visitors attend each participating location during the event.
The aim of the event’s program is to enrich the museums’ activities, bring the exhibitions to life, and, above all, lower the threshold for residents to visit these cultural venues. Each museum’s program is designed in line with its own themes, and events are planned to last throughout the evening, until 11 PM. Visitors can collect stamps in a “stamp passport” from the museums, and those who return their filled passport will be entered into a prize drawing.
