Local transport summer timetable begins on 31 May

Linja-auto kadulla.

New operators will begin running Mikkeli’s local bus services and the Moppe demand-responsive transport service. There will be no changes to timetables or routes. The summer timetable comes into effect on Sunday, 31 May, and the winter timetable will resume on 11 August.

Savonlinja will take over as the operator of local bus services from 1 June. From the same date, Moppe demand-responsive transport will be operated by Tilausliikenne Himanen. The new brand name for local public transport will be Katuri, while the demand-responsive service will continue to be known as Moppe.

During the transition in branding and marketing, passengers may notice temporary differences in the appearance of buses. Some vehicles may still be without the unified livery and visual identity. These are temporary arrangements, and the exterior look of both Katuri buses and Moppe vehicles will be updated over the course of the summer to reflect the planned design.

We kindly ask passengers for their patience during this period of change. The change of operators may initially involve practical adjustments and minor challenges. The aim is to ensure as smooth a transition as possible. In addition to Katuri services, Moppe demand-responsive transport will continue to operate normally according to the summer timetable.

We thank our passengers for their understanding and wish you pleasant journeys on Mikkeli public transport with Katuri and Moppe!
