Culture
The Cultural Services of the City of Mikkeli organise various cultural activities, events, shows, concerts and workshops for residents of all ages. In addition, the Cultural Services provides funding for cultural associations and lets out summer exhibition facilities mainly to operators in the creative industries.
Cultural visits aimed at the elderly are organised in service centres. Every year, the City Cultural Services organises the Hulivilikarnevaali festival for the entire family, a series of concerts in parks, and several other cultural events.
Parks and playgrounds
The built urban environment in Mikkeli is rich with numerous invigorating parks and green areas, perfect for spending time with friends and family.
