In addition, the City of Mikkeli charges a clinic fee for visits to the clinic. The clinic fees are set by the Environmental Board and can be found at the end of the Environmental Health Care Fee Table. The Kangasniemi veterinary on-call service is organised as part of the Central Finland veterinary on-call service on weekdays from 16.00 to 8.00, weekends and public holidays.
The on-call service is separated into small and large animal on-call services.
The municipal veterinarians of Kangasniemi, Laukaa and Jyväskylä take turns in providing the large animal emergency service. Small animal emergency care is provided by the private Evidencia clinic in Jyväskylä.

From the Kangasniemi area, you may also contact the Mikkeli region veterinary emergency service (emergency number 0600 13436) and inquire if the on-call veterinarian is able to take a small animal patient from the Kangasniemi area. This is the municipal veterinary emergency service, which is operated from the veterinary offices in Mikkeli or Mäntyharju. The on-call veterinarian for the Mikkeli area also provides emergency services for large animals.
When on duty, the Kangasniemi municipal veterinarian will, if possible, handle both large animal cases and small animal patients from the Kangasniemi area.
